Dos Toros Taqueria will open its first Long Island restaurant this week.

The new fast-casual eatery at 1624 Marcus Ave. in New Hyde Park, which opens Thursday, features a menu inspired by San Francisco’s Mission District, where its founders, brothers Leo and Oliver Kremer, used to call home.

The Kremer brothers opened their first Dos Toros Taqueria restaurant in Manhattan 13 years ago and now have 19 locations throughout New York City, including one in Florham Park, N.J. and their newest eatery in New Hyde Park.

Dos Toros focuses on Mission-style recipes, with everything made from scratch. The restaurant’s offerings include burritos, spicy hot sauces made daily, signature tacos, cheesy filled and tri-fold quesadillas, and customizable options, all made with antibiotic-free meats.

The 66-seat New Hyde Park restaurant also offers a limited-edition Mole menu, salads, and will be the first in the chain to serve “Share It” nachos, with house-fried chips, queso and customizable toppings.

“To us, food equals community. We wanted to create a space with a vibey, welcoming setting where our guests can enjoy the food we grew up on,” Leo Kremer said in a company statement. “We hope that through the care we put into our menu and our commitment to our New Hyde Park family and friends, we can spread the love beyond our doors and into the new neighborhood we serve.”

To celebrate its opening on Jan. 19, the restaurant will host a “Spread the Love Day,” where 100 percent of sales from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. go to the Northwell Health Foundation to support the Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center. In addition, Northwell hospital staff and local high schoolers who show appropriate ID will receive 10 percent off meals during the restaurant’s opening week and beyond.
