Farmingdale-based Ventura Air Services has added three jets to its owner-lease management program. With this expansion, the company said it will hire more than 20 employees to support its growth.

The new aircraft comprises two Bombardier Challenger 604s and one Cessna Citation XL560, bringing the fleet to a total of 11.

In the company’s owner-lease management program, private aircraft owners can “transform underperforming assets into income producers,” according to a news release about the additional jets. Through this program, Ventura handles all of the fixed costs of aircraft management, which includes standard maintenance, storage, insurance, fuel, pilots and crews and charter bookings. Owners gain financial benefits while still enjoying access to their planes for personal use.

The addition of the three jets to the program “proves that our approach works and that it is appealing to those who need to secure greater value from their aircraft investment, Nick Tarascio, CEO of Ventura Air, said in a statement.

“We efficiently and effectively utilize aircraft for owners while they retain the benefits and receive financial compensation,” he added. “Our creative approach is a win-win for all involved and aircraft owners from across the nation are taking notice.”

The Bombardier Challenger 604’s accommodates as many as 10 passengers in its cabin and has a range of over 4,000 miles. The Cessna Citation XL560 is a seven-passenger jet with a range of over 1,700 miles. The added aircraft will support the company’s ability to meet the growing demand for private flights throughout North America and the Caribbean.

“With more aircraft, both passenger and owner experiences will be enhanced,” Tarascio said. “By using our floating fleet model, we are able to strategically position jets at airports across the nation. This allows for greater efficiency, more convenient access to aircraft for travelers and fewer empty leg flights.

“As we have grown, Ventura has been recognized as a great place to work,” he added. “To accommodate growth from the addition of these three aircraft, we will be hiring more than 20 employees including pilots, aircraft crews, critical office staff and mechanics.”
