The Fair Media Council begins its new season of the award-winning FMC Fast Chat podcast next week.

The first installment, “So Many Vaccines, So Much Misinformation,” is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18 live via Zoom. Anyone can register for the free, 30-minute chat featuring global health expert Dr. Ruth Carron, director of the Johns Hopkins Vaccine Initiative.

The chat with Dr. Caron will focus on the safety of the myriad of vaccines suddenly in the news, including the flu shot, COVID boosters, and vaccines for monkeypox, shingles, and polio. The discussion will touch on the safety of the vaccines, how they might interact with each other and if Americans are suffering from vaccine fatigue.

Hosted by Jaci Clement, CEO and executive director of the Fair Media Council, the Fast Chat podcast was awarded two W3 Silver Awards last year by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, recognizing it for best interview/talk show and best podcast host.

The Fast Chat podcast has included 30-minute discussions with a slew of media celebrities and business leaders, including Ben Smith of The New York Times, author and TV and radio personality Rita Cosby, Northwell Health’s Michael Dowling, and even radio legend Cousin Brucie.
