Manufacturer expands with Hauppauge building

Island Components Group is expanding with the lease of a Hauppauge office property.

The Holbrook-based manufacturer, a subsidiary of G.W. Lisk, leased the 14,250-square-foot building on 1.5 acres at 210 Marcus Blvd.

Island Components, which manufactures electromechanical actuators and other products for the aerospace, defense and other industries, is converting the building from offices to flex and R&D space. The Hauppauge office property was formerly occupied by Paypro Corporation.

Founded in 1991, Island Components initially made electric motors for the military, before expanding into designing and manufacturing electromagnetic brakes and clutches, sensored and sensorless drives, rotary and linear actuators and precision windings. The firm’s medical components and parts for down-hole drilling and undersea research now account for more than half of its total sales, according to the company’s website.

G.W. Lisk, a manufacturer headquartered in upstate Clifton Springs, acquired Island Components in Nov. 2021.

Dan Gazzola and Chuck Tabone of Newmark represented the tenant, as well as the landlord, 210 Marcus Blvd. LLC, in the lease transaction.
